No Lifeboat Come

A body, a vessel,
A barge sinking,
And it’s a shout,
that really knocks me out.
Should have done it right
right the first time.
It’s working two jobs,
And an important determining exam.
And I’m
sleep-deprived
stressing, cramming, trying.
Tiring.
I think I’ve taken on too much.
Slowly the barrel disintegrates,
Leaving the shell of a human.
Always trying, unfortunately failing.
